What people say about us
  • I had the privilege of working with Joy for over 5 years in an inclusive school setting as well as a Special Needs Centre.

In her usual display of passion and dedication, Joy has helped her students make great strides in their academics and social development.

I am pleased to see her extend her competencies and capabilities to a not-for-profit cause and know she will approach this in much the same way as her other professional pursuits.

  • Good afternoon Ms Joy,  what can I say, you truly  a blessed for me and my son (F.O.),  he has learnt so much from you, learning more and more from each sessions he has with you and has been practicing his speech with me and everything both home and school.  The fact that he would sit down and do his homework is a blessing.

You also giving me feedback on how I should be teaching him, which has been a great help. He still doesn’t want to read to me but at least he allows me to read to him (which he wouldn’t before) and I know that it will be a matter of time before he does read to me.  He has changed a lot from the stubborn boy that would not talk, that doesn’t like learning  and now he is more friendly, communicative boy and willing to learn. Thank you so much

FAQs

What is the cause of developmental delay?

These factors include genetics; parental health and behaviors (such as smoking and drinking) during pregnancy; complications during birth; infections the mother might have during pregnancy or the baby might have very early in life; and exposure of the mother or child to high levels of environmental toxins.

Is my child's condition going to be a life time thing?

The severity of the condition can determine sometimes if the child can fully recover from the condition. Sometimes, it can be for a lifetime.

When will my child be okay to stop intervention?

There is no set time for a child with developmental delays to stop intervention, but the child can become independent later in life as a result of the consistent therapy and training the parents has invested over the years.

Will my child ever talk or be normal?

Early detection and application of the appropriate intervention can help improve a child’s condition over the time.

Some children may become verbal and while others may be nonverbal depending on the level of severity of the child’s condition.

Will other children bully my child?

Children are being educated all around the world about the differently abled individuals. The rate of being bullied is at the minimal scale because children are being sensitize through the practice of inclusion in the home environment, school and the community.
